Today’s recipe is inspired by the first Tone It Up recipe I fell crazy with years ago, but I dressed a touch supported my current technique and tastes.Protein Pancake TipsOver the years, I’ve made numerous protein pancakes and I’ve learned a couple of tips for creating the right pancake whenever .

Blueberry Banana Chocolate Protein Pancakes

Use non-stick spray and cook over a coffee heat. If you employ medium to high heat, the surface of the pancake will heat too fast and burn before the middle is about .
You’ll know the pancake is prepared to flip when little bubbles appear across the pancake and you'll easily get your spatula under the pancake.
I like using the batter to form three small pancakes for one serving rather than making one large pancake. they have a tendency to cook faster, they’re easier to flip and it seems like you get more to eat! As a volume eater, this makes me happy.

  1. 1/4 cup liquid egg whites
  2. 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
  3. 1/2 banana, mashed
  4. almond milk, if needed
  5. 1/4 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  6. cooking spray
  7. non-stick pan

  • In a small bowl whisk together the egg whites and protein powder with a fork or whisk until all the protein powder is dissolved.
  • I find that a whisk does an excellent job for mixing within the protein powder.
  • Stir within the mashed banana and add the blueberries. If the pancake mixture seems too thick you'll add a splash of almond milk to thin it out a touch .
  • Spray a medium sized non-stick pan with cooking spray and set heat to low-medium (I use the amount 3 on my stove). The lower heat is that the key to creating sure the pancake doesn’t burn. Pour in batter and cook until little bubbles form  5 minutes.
